When going to the casino to gamble, one of the smartest things you can do is take your credit cards out of your wallet and leave them at home. This is because once you run out of cash the temptation to take a cash advance on your credit card may be overwhelming. However, this practice can wind up costing you a lot of money as there are many hidden fees that you may not be aware of. To start with the casino will charge you a fee for issuing you a check for a cash advance on your credit card. Secondly, your credit card company will issue a fee any time you take a cash advance. This could mean that you may wind up paying as much as 9% more than what you actually take out just on taking a cash advance. Also, using your credit card at the casino, especially if you have no willpower can result in you maxing out your card and going home in major debt.

The best thing to do when you want to go to the casino and gamble is to take a specific amount of cash with you and when you had to use that amount, get up from the table and leave. Remember tomorrow is another day. Many gamblers make the mistake of becoming so enthralled by the experience of gambling that they forget that to use discretion and caution when it comes to wagering their hard-earned money. By leaving your credit cards at home you can avoid making this mistake.
